Most students missed the first day of the special exam season for secondary school exams. Only 40.4% of enrolled students attended to take the Portuguese exam, which opened this special exam season.
The special season is intended for students with specific situations, such as military personnel, high-performance athletes, students with illnesses or other special conditions that made participation in the normal season impossible.
The data show that the attendance rate was significantly low, with almost 60% of enrolled students not presenting themselves for the opening exam of this extraordinary season.
The Ministry of Education did not immediately comment on the numbers from the first morning of exams in the special season, which will continue over the coming days with various subjects being assessed.
