On September 1st, the Territorial Command of Viana do Castelo, through the Criminal Investigation Unit of Viana do Castelo and with the support of the Vila Praia de Âncora Territorial Post, arrested a 51-year-old woman suspected of drug trafficking in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.
The police operation resulted from an investigation that had been ongoing for several months. The soldiers of the Republican National Guard carried out two search warrants, one at a residence and another in a vehicle, during the procedures that led to the arrest.
From the searches, seven cannabis plants were seized. The suspect was arrested in flagrant delict and charged in the context of the proceedings.
The facts were reported to the Judicial Court of Viana do Castelo, continuing the judicial procedure against the 51-year-old woman.
