The special exam session in Portugal recorded more than 43 thousand enrolments, but on the first day of tests more than half of the enrolled students were absent from the tests. This special session is intended for students who could not participate in the regular exam session for specific reasons.
The absence rate on the first day was significant, with more than 50 percent of enrolled students not attending their tests. This situation raises questions about the reasons behind this high absence rate.
The results of this special session will be known on September 16. The students who participated in the tests will have to wait until that date to learn their grades.
This special session model exists to ensure that students with exceptional circumstances, such as illness or other unforeseen situations, have another opportunity to take their national exams.
