The Municipality of Esposende will continue to support the acquisition of medications for children and young people cared for at Casa de Acolhimento Emília Figueiredo, belonging to the Associação Social, Cultural e Recreativa de Apúlia (ASCRA). This association manages the care facility located in Apúlia.
Through the municipal program CUIDAR+, the Esposende council ensures the full portion of medications that are subsidized by the Serviço Nacional de Saúde (SNS). In this way, the children and young people cared for at that institution have no costs for the portion of medications covered by public subsidy.
This support is part of a long-standing partnership between the municipality and ASCRA, which aims to guarantee better health and well-being conditions for the minors cared for at Casa de Emília Figueiredo. The CUIDAR+ program demonstrates the council's commitment to this vulnerable population.
This measure is part of Esposende municipality's social policies, which seek to ensure that children and young people in care have access to necessary healthcare, alleviating the financial burden associated with prescribed medication.
