The deputy of Chega in the Azorean parliament José Pacheco defended today that the 50 years of autonomy of the Azores should bring institutions closer to the populations. Pacheco considers that autonomy does not belong to politicians, but to the Azorean people.
According to the deputy, autonomy was a conquest of the Azorean people and, therefore, does not belong to the governments. This position arises in the context of the celebrations of the 50 years of regional autonomy of the Azores.
