The president of the Supreme Federal Court, Edson Fachin, determined on Friday (4) that the attorney general, Paulo Gonet, and Minister André Mendonça should respond regarding Federal Police reports that were made public on Thursday (3) by Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The deadline for the responses is five days.
Fachin's decision also removed the report against André Mendonça from the fake news inquiry, which had been used by Moraes to accuse his colleague of interference in investigations. The accusations made by Moraes against Mendonça, as well as Mendonça's document citing conversations between Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, of Master, will now proceed in an autonomous petition linked to the court's presidency office.
According to the STF press office, the measures taken by Fachin relate exclusively to the case proceedings, without prejudging the admissibility or procedural regularity.
