Madeira judo clubs kicked off the new sporting season with their athletes participating in two reference international training camps on the national scene. This participation marks the start of sporting activities for the current season.
The first camp was the Alvor International Judo Camp 2026, which took place between September 1 and 3. This event featured the presence of decorated Portuguese judoka Jorge Fonseca, bronze medalist at the Olympic Games and two-time world champion, which elevates the prestige of the training provided to the Madeira athletes.
