Banks in Brazil will not have in-person service this Monday, September 7th, due to Brazil's Independence Day holiday. The suspension of service affects all bank branches across the country during this day.

In addition to the closure of branches, bank settlements will also be suspended during the holiday. This means that transactions that depend on settlement, including transfers via TED (Available Electronic Transfer), will not be processed during the non-business days.

On the other hand, PIX, the Central Bank's instant payment system, will continue to function normally during the September 7th holiday. Users will be able to make transfers and payments at any time, without interruptions.

The Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) is the entity responsible for defining the operating calendar of financial institutions, which follows current labor legislation for national festive days.
