British Georgia South, from duo Nova Twins, is in Brazil for the first time to perform at Rock in Rio. She will open the Palco Mundo programming this Friday, the first day of the festival, sharing the stage with Amy Love, her partner in the band.
Before the show, Georgia took the opportunity to relax on the sands of Ipanema Beach, where she received a massage. The artist shared the moment on social media, showing that she chose the beach as a way to prepare for the performance.
On Instagram, Georgia posted a Story with the caption "Warming up my neck for the 'bangover' that's coming tomorrow," referring to the rock expression that designates pain and stiffness in the neck and shoulders the day after a show.
To get in the Brazilian mood, the British artist listened as a soundtrack to the English version of "The Girl from Ipanema," sung by Astrud Gilberto. Rock in Rio also features performances by Stray Kids, Elton John, and Ivete Sangalo, who were the most searched artists on Google Brasil related to the festival.
