TVI presented its lineup for the fall 2026 season with a strategy based on new entertainment formulas, maximizing in-house production, and adopting the motto "Jornal das Pessoas" in news. José Eduardo Moniz, the station's general director, argued that TVI is the station "most polarizing in opinions and counter-opinions" and that it will be up to the viewer to decide whether the new lineup will achieve leadership, at a time when SIC has pulled ahead of TVI since June in the race for annual ratings.

In entertainment, the highlights go to "A Roda da Sorte", hosted by Cristina Ferreira from Monday to Friday at 7pm, which launches this month in partnership with Fremantle and EMAV, and "Fora do Baralho", a Saturday afternoon format that brings together Manuel Luís Goucha and João Patrício as hosts. José Eduardo Moniz emphasized that the bet on "big formats" will be made regardless of the time slot, arguing that "great television must always exist". "Big Brother All Stars" premieres on Sunday, September 6th, hosted by Maria Botelho Moniz, and in fiction the soap opera "Coração de Mãe" arrives on Monday the 7th.

In news, Nuno Santos, TVI's director of News and director of CNN, explained that the concept "Jornal das Pessoas" aims to bring the station closer to the real interests of viewers, systematizing five new segments: "Explica-me", "Código Humano", "É Fazer as Contas", "Pessoas como nós", and "Vida boa". When questioned about news regarding CNN Portugal, he deferred details for about two weeks.

José Eduardo Moniz also announced that the station will have five new short-duration telenovelas next year, all with approximately 100 episodes, and a new reality show already identified, in addition to strengthening digital operations and preparing new podcasts. Regarding Media City, whose investment is around 50 million euros, the general director preferred not to give a new completion date, stating only that work is in progress. Media Capital closed the first half of the year with a loss of 1.6 million euros.
