Eight volunteer firefighting corporations in the Guarda district will receive new forest firefighting vehicles, commonly called VCIF. These vehicles were acquired as part of financial support provided by Timor-Leste for investment in the area of Civil Protection.
The selected corporations will each receive a medium-sized vehicle with a water load capacity between 3,000 and 3,600 liters. These vehicles are intended for forest firefighting.
Timor-Leste's support demonstrates international cooperation in the area of Civil Protection, allowing firefighting corporations in the Guarda district to strengthen their response capacity to fires. The Guarda district, situated in the interior of Portugal, thus benefits from this external funding to improve its civil protection equipment.
