The residents of Avenida Antero de Quental, in the parish of São Victor, left a public thank you to the Municipality of Braga for the intervention carried out on the Portuguese cobblestones on the sidewalks of the aforementioned avenue. The repair action responded to a previous publication that reported the state of degradation of the sidewalk near the public garden in the area.
At the time the complaint was made, holes and loose stones were visible on the pavement, representing a risk for pedestrians using that section. The situation had drawn the attention of local residents, who documented and shared the degraded condition of the public space.
The Municipality of Braga then proceeded with the repair of the Portuguese cobblestones, the traditional Portuguese paving made with small stones arranged in decorative patterns. This intervention aims to restore the safety and functionality of the sidewalk for citizens walking on that road.
The residents' thank you demonstrates the importance of maintaining urban public spaces and the role of citizen complaints in resolving concrete problems in cities.
