Two men, aged 20 and 23, were arrested by the GNR on Thursday, September 3, on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrest took place in Joane, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the district of Braga.
The suspects were intercepted during a community policing patrol carried out by the National Republican Guard. The area where the arrest took place is identified by the authorities as one affected by drug trafficking and consumption.
The Territorial Command of Braga of the GNR revealed that the two men were arrested in the act. The authorities did not disclose further details about the operation or the amount of drugs seized.
