France advances with agricultural support plan of over one billion

France announced an agricultural support plan worth over one billion euros. The main objective is to help the agricultural sector face the historic drought affecting the country.

The plan also comes as a response to the successive heat waves recorded during the summer. These extreme weather conditions have caused severe impacts on crops and French agricultural production.

The French government thus intends to mitigate the losses caused by the exceptional climate situation and ensure the survival of many farmers affected by these adversities.
