Free festival at Sesc Tijuca honors Black writers

The 11th edition of the Liquid Word festival is taking place at Sesc Tijuca until the 13th, with free admission. The event promotes encounters, workshops, conversation panels, and presentations that bring literature closer to other artistic languages, bringing together writers, artists, researchers, musicians, and other creators.

In this edition, Black writers Miriam Alves and Éle Semog are the honorees, both references in Brazilian Black literature. The festival's proposal is to discuss the word as an instrument of memory, creation, and dialogue among different generations.

The central theme of the event revolves around the question "what can be born when the word is set in motion?" The organizers think of "risk" as movement, displacement, and possibility for creation, recognizing the honorees' work in this sense.
