The samba-enredo competition that the Special Group schools will bring to Sapucaí reaches the final stretch starting this Friday, with the decision at Portela. According to the established calendar, the last to choose their official parade anthems will be Viradouro on the 19th and Grande Rio on the 20th.

Among the famous names guaranteeing excitement in the competition are Moacyr Luz, Sandra Sá, Arlindinho, Diogo Nogueira, Martinho da Vila and Anitta. The contest also features quite well-known figures in the carnival scene, such as Wanderley Monteiro and Paulo Cesar Feital.

Anitta entered the competition for Grande Rio right after her name started appearing as a likely replacement for Virgínia Fonseca in the post of drum queen. The artist signs a partnership with Arlindinho, Igor Leal, Fred Camacho, Fabian Juarez and Diego Nicolau. Arlindinho is in the final at Mangueira this Saturday and is also a semifinalist at Unidos da Tijuca.

This is not Anitta's first foray into this area. In 2025, she already composed with Feijão, Diego Nicolau and Fred Camacho.
