The "Animal Actors On Location!" show at Universal Studios Florida will be permanently closed on November 3, 2026, after 36 years of existence. The attraction, one of the most traditional in the park, premiered on June 7, 1990 under the name "Animal Actors Stage" and went through name changes over the years, including "Animal Planet Live" in 2001, before assuming its current name in 2006.
The show featured trained animals such as dogs, cats, birds, pigs, and others, who participated in scenes, tricks, and audience interactions, demonstrating how animals can be prepared for film and television productions. The attraction was one of the few remaining from the park's opening ceremony.
Universal stated that the space will be used for a new experience, but has not yet revealed details about the project or the opening date. The company stated that more information about the future of the area will be released later.
With the closure, the historical attractions at Universal Studios Florida are becoming increasingly rare. Among the spaces that remain from the park's opening are E.T. Adventure and Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show, although the latter is also undergoing updates. The change is part of the ongoing renovation process at the Universal Orlando complex.
