Bruno Tavares, Chief Technology Officer at Devoteam Portugal, participated in a flash talk where he addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work. During his intervention, Tavares argued that the threat to organizations does not lie in AI itself, but rather in the lack of preparedness to integrate it effectively.
The executive at Devoteam Portugal expressed his conviction that the future of work will not be characterized by replacing people, but rather by redefining their functions and responsibilities within companies. This perspective contrasts with the fears frequently associated with automation.
Tavares advocates for an approach to innovation that places the human being at the center of the process, rather than subordinating people to technological demands. In his view, future professionals will need to take on a role as technology orchestrators, coordinating and directing technological tools, rather than being limited to mechanical task execution.
