Sporting Clube de Campo is one of the three clubs from the municipality of Valongo present in the Division of Honour of the AF Porto, series 2, this season, alongside Alfenense and Sobrado. The team's first game is scheduled for the 20th, when they host Folgosa da Maia. The club spoke to Jornal Novo Regional through its president, Daniel Rebelo, who stated that "the working group is focused and the pre-season is showing positive signs".
The technical team is led by head coach Ricardo Cunha, supported by Renato Salgado as assistant coach, Gonçalo Cunha as analyst and Vítor Martins as goalkeeping coach. Regarding the objectives for the season, Daniel Rebelo explained that they sought to balance youth with experience, signing athletes who share the club's winning mentality, with the ambition to fight for top positions.
The club signed several players, including Ricardo Ramalho (formerly from Custóias), Rodrigo Silva (formerly from S. Romão), Leandro Leite (formerly from Leixões), Ruben Machado (formerly from Aliança Gandra), Miguel Neves (formerly from Sousense), among others, making a total of 21 players already signed. They also renewed contracts with Machado, Manu, Leitão, Coelho, Carlos, Lamas and Gabi. The club also intends to close deals with two or three more players to finalise the squad.
President Daniel Rebelo made an appeal to members and supporters, stating that they are the heart of the club and the team's greatest support. He highlighted that constant support at Parque António Jorge da Costa will be decisive to overcome the season's challenges, inviting everyone to become members, bring their families and be the "12th player" of Campo.
