The Volta packaging deposit and refund system is operating in Mourão without the use of automatic machines. The service is only available through a service point installed at a hypermarket in the municipality, which is the only location where consumers can currently access the system.
The mayor of Mourão, João Fortes, spoke about the situation when questioned by Diana FM. João Fortes guaranteed that any consumer is ensured reimbursement of packaging in the municipality, regardless of the absence of automatic equipment in the region.
