The samba-enredo competition that the Special Group schools of Rio de Janeiro's carnival will bring to the Sapucaí reaches the final stretch starting this Friday, with the decision at Portela. According to the defined calendar, the last to choose their official hymns will be Viradouro, on the 19th, and Grande Rio, on the 20th.
Among the competitors, several well-known names ensure brilliance to the dispute, including Moacyr Luz, Sandra Sá, Arlindinho, Diogo Nogueira, Martinho da Vila, Wanderley Monteiro, and Paulo Cesar Feital.
Anitta entered the competition for Grande Rio after her name appeared as a likely replacement for Virgínia Fonseca in the role of the school's drum queen. The artist signs a partnership with Arlindinho, who is also in the final at Mangueira.
