Benfica already have their list of registered players for the Europa League league phase defined, with UEFA recently disclosing the names submitted by the club. The biggest surprise among the absences is Bruma, the Portuguese international winger who still belongs to Benfica but was sidelined by Marco Silva at the start of pre-season and remains looking for a move in this final stretch of the market.
Bruma cost Benfica €6.5 million, but was not included in the Eagles' European list precisely because he is outside the coach's plans and is in the process of transferring.
Among the main additions to the list are Souffian El Karouani, João Palhinha and Claudio Echeverri. The three signings arrived at the Luz already after Benfica had overcome Aarhus in the play-off for access to the main phase of the competition, now becoming available to Marco Silva in the European competition.
In the opposite direction, Richard Ríos was not registered on the list, after the Colombian midfielder was loaned to Al-Qadsiah, in one of the most significant changes regarding departures from the red side's squad.
