Azores Airlines closed the first half of this year with a loss of 37.1 million euros. This value represents an improvement of about 3.9 million euros compared to the negative 41.1 million recorded in the same period of 2025, according to results disclosed by the SATA Group.
The airline reduced its operations during this period. Between January and June, 5,037 flights were carried out, corresponding to a decrease of 8.1% compared to the same period last year.
Regarding the number of passengers transported, Azores Airlines recorded a decline of 7.7%. Approximately 701 thousand passengers were transported, against 759 thousand in the same period last year.
The results reflect an overall reduction in activity for the Azores airline, which managed to improve its financial performance compared to the previous period, though still posting negative results for the first half.
