Ministry of Finance allows hiring of nurses

The Ministry of Finance approved on Thursday the necessary document to allow hospitals to proceed with the hiring of nurses. This approval comes after a request for "urgent" intervention made by the president of the Order of Nurses to the minister.

The measure allows hospital institutions to proceed with new hires of nurses, responding to human resources needs in the health sector. The document was considered the missing piece to unblock the hiring process.

The president of the Order of Nurses had directly requested the minister to intervene urgently to resolve the situation that was limiting the hiring capacity of hospitals. The approval by the Ministry of Finance fulfilled that request.
