The purchase of secondhand products has gained prominence for the back-to-school season in Spain, driven by concerns about savings and sustainability. According to a survey conducted by Beruby for Amazon on the growth of secondhand purchases among families in Spain, two out of three Spanish consumers state they have acquired secondhand products, either through individuals, stores, or specialized companies. This trend reflects a change in the consumption habits of Spanish families, who increasingly choose to give products a second life.
The main motivation behind this choice is related to savings, since more than 75% of those surveyed indicated that the economic factor is the main reason to opt for this type of product. This reality shows that the combination of financial need and environmental awareness has led many consumers to rethink their purchasing practices, especially during the back-to-school season, where expenses tend to be high.
