The largest music festival in Rio de Janeiro, Rock in Rio, begins this Friday, September 4th, with more than 190 performances over 7 days of the event. The main shows are expected to end around 2am in the early morning, and Riotur estimates that around 100 thousand people are expected per day at the event.

The Municipal Secretariat of Transport (SMTR), in partnership with Mobi-Rio and Rock in Rio itself, set up a special operation for public transports during the early mornings of the festival. The objective is to facilitate the travel of the public attending the evening shows.

The BRT Expresso Rock in Rio will have articulated buses circulating through the exclusive corridors of the system. Three services were created for the event: SE008, which makes the direct route between Terminal Jardim Oceânico and Terminal Centro Olímpico, and SE009, in addition to a third service still mentioned in the article.

Former American Governor Arrested After Refusing to Pay Child Support

The former governor of Kentucky, Matthew Bevin, 59 years old, was arrested on Thursday after refusing to pay child support to his son, Jonah Bevin. The Republican, who governed the American state between 2015 and 2019, disobeyed court orders and was detained on a film set after Judge Angela J. Johnson issued a warrant. The magistrate from Jefferson County Family Court had ordered Bevin to submit documents detailing his income and assets to determine the child support amount, but the politician had been repeatedly ignoring the demands since 2025. According to the son's lawyer, Bevin sent only partial documents with essential information omitted, which was not accepted by the judge.
