The Order of Discalced Carmelites in Portugal begins today, September 4, 2026, its Vocational Meetings for Young People, called "Rumos", at Domus Carmeli in Fatima. The meetings are aimed at young people who want to reflect on the future, their choices, or the purpose of life, covering different vocations such as lay life, marriage, priesthood, or consecrated life.
The first "Rumos" meeting takes place from today until Sunday, being the first of a cycle of four vocational meetings. The participating young people receive accompaniment from couples, priests, and Carmelite sisters, with moments of reflection and sharing, as well as practical guidance for discerning the vocational path.
The Discalced Carmelites provide personal accompaniment during the discernment process, allowing young people to choose someone to accompany them. The program is designed so that participants can always follow the journey, even if they cannot be present on all dates.
The other three meetings of the new cycle take place in 2027: from January 8 to 10, from March 19 to 21, and from September 3 to 5. Registrations are made through an online form and more information can be obtained through the email address [email protected].
