The people around me were afraid that "Desesperado" would shock the audience for being in Portuguese

SIC Notícias4 September 2026 at 08:50

The NOBLE group has performed to the public for eight years singing exclusively in English. This was always the band's musical identity, which had never explored the Portuguese language in its compositions.

The people around the group expressed concern that the decision to sing in Portuguese could shock the audience. There was worry that this change might not be well received by the fans.

However, something changed. The group decided to go ahead with "Desesperado," a song in Portuguese, breaking for the first time with the eight-year pattern of a career exclusively in English.

The change to the Portuguese language represents a significant alteration in NOBLE's artistic direction, which until now had identified exclusively with English as the language of musical expression.
