Less obligation, more management

SAPO Notícias4 September 2026 at 06:22

The European Union carried out a review of sustainability standards that resulted in a reduction of formal requirements imposed on companies. This change represents a significant shift in the regulatory approach previously adopted.

Despite the simplification of formal requirements, the review simultaneously reinforces three fundamental pillars: risk management, sustainable financing, and value creation. These elements now occupy a central position in the obligations of organizations.

The article is authored by Graciete Silva, who holds the position of Head of Knowledge at Stravillia, an organization specializing in knowledge and consulting. The title "Less obligation, more management" encapsulates the essence of this regulatory reformulation.

Rede Expressos 'cedes' Sete Rios terminal to competitor FlixBus starting September 24

Rede Expressos, controlled by Grupo Barraqueiro, announced it will allow competitor FlixBus access to the Sete Rios terminal in Lisbon starting September 24, with 21 schedules planned. However, FlixBus has filed a lawsuit against the company and its managers, accusing Rede Expressos of failing to comply with the March decision by the Administrative Court of Lisbon, which ordered immediate access to the terminal. The German company claims losses exceeding 12 million euros due to the "blockade" and states there is no guarantee of entry on September 24, as there are no trips currently on sale for the terminal. FlixBus has also filed a criminal complaint against the managers of Rede Expressos and demands access to essential services such as ticket offices, customer support points, and baggage facilities. The dispute between the two companies has been ongoing since 2017.
