The works of the maternity ward at the Hospital General de Castellón are in the installation assembly phase, after the conclusion of the demolition and removal of debris from the space. This stage marks a significant advance in the renovation project that aims to completely transform the maternity area.
The project contemplates a renovated space, larger and with more natural light. The budget allocated by the Regional Ministry of Health for this reform is 550,000 euros, thus financing the integral transformation of the facilities.
Among the planned improvements, the incorporation of an obstetric bathtub in one of the dilation rooms stands out, providing pregnant women with an additional option for childbirth. This innovation is part of an effort to modernize and humanize the maternity facilities.
The works will continue throughout the autumn, extending over the next months until the completion of the renovation project.
