From nineteen young guitarists who arrived in Benicàssim to compete for one of the reference prizes in international classical guitar, only four remain in the running. These four competitors overcame the successive rounds of the LIX International Francisco Tárrega Guitar Competition and will dispute the grand final this Friday.
The four guitarists who reached the final phase are Croatians Filip Mišković and Luka Lovreković, Japanese Sohta Nakabayashi and Portuguese Francisco Luís. These competitors represent three different countries, demonstrating the international character of the competition.
The Francisco Tárrega International Guitar Competition is considered one of the reference prizes in the international classical guitar scene. This is the 59th edition of the contest, which takes place in the Spanish city of Benicàssim.
