Jane Fonda, at 88 years old, was honored at the DVF Awards during the Venice Film Festival. On the occasion, the veteran American actress gave a press conference to a small group of journalists where she made pointed criticisms of tech magnates' obsession with longevity.
During the interview, Fonda stated that the pursuit of "tech bros, oligarchs and billionaires" for technologies and strategies to eternally extend life is harming the rest of the population. "They want to live forever while killing the rest of us," the actress declared.
The Hollywood veteran also criticized the fact that these billionaires do not respect the natural laws of physics regarding their own bodies, just as they do not respect other rules. Additionally, Fonda attacked Donald Trump and the so-called "tradwives" movement, although the article does not elaborate on these points.
Fonda also made a controversial comment about tech billionaires: "since these guys can't have kids, they're going to create robots." The actress, known for her political activism throughout the decades, demonstrated her critical stance regarding economic and technological power.
