Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), asked the Federal Police for reports pointing to evidence of crimes against fellow minister André Mendonça, related to the alleged direction of investigations of Operation Sem Desconto and the Master Case. The request was made without the approval of Minister Edson Fachin, who originally conducts the Master case.
Moraes used the same procedure adopted by Andrei Rodrigues, who delivered to Fachin a report on the relationship of Minister Dias Toffoli with Daniel Vorcaro. This document was considered "legal garbage" by the Court's own ministers.
When producing the document for Fachin with the reports, Moraes took the same measure as Mendonça, who requested a public and transparent session to analyze the message exchanges pointed out in the Federal Police report. Mendonça defended the open analysis of all the content of the supposedly found conversations.
The Attorney General, Paulo Gonet, considered the procedure adopted by Mendonça for analyzing the messages to be null. The article was exclusive for subscribers and was accessible through registration on the news portal.
