Embraer celebrated on September 2nd the delivery of its 2,000th E-Jet, a historic milestone that positions the program among the three largest families of commercial jets in the world. The aircraft delivered was an E195-E2, received by Azul Linhas Aéreas, Brazil's largest airline by number of destinations served.

Since entering service in 2004, the E-Jets family has transformed the commercial aviation industry, serving more than 90 airlines in more than 60 countries. The fleet accumulated approximately 48 million flight hours and transported more than 2.85 billion passengers worldwide. The family is composed of the first generation E170, E175, E190 and E195, as well as the second generation E190-E2 and E195-E2.

Azul has been a key operator of Embraer aircraft since the beginning of its operations in 2008, having already operated more than 140 E-Jets. The airline became the launch customer of the E195-E2, receiving the first aircraft in 2019, and the 2,000th E-Jet also represents the 50th E2 aircraft in Azul's fleet.

The President and CEO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, Arjan Meijer, stated that the delivery of the 2,000th E-Jet is an extraordinary milestone for the company and for the global air transportation industry. Azul's CEO, John Rodgerson, highlighted that Embraer aircraft have enabled the expansion of air connectivity throughout Brazil, bringing cities closer together and stimulating new markets.
