President Lula (PT) and senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) lead voting intentions in the first-round scenario tested by the Datafolha Institute. The president appears with 38%, while the senator has 33%. Augusto Cury (Avante) is in third position, with 8%, representing an increase of 6 percentage points compared to the previous survey, from August 21.
This is the first survey by the Institute after the interviews with presidential candidates conducted by CBN, O Globo newspaper and Valor Economico, as well as the interviews on TV Globo and the start of free electoral time. The survey was commissioned by the Globo group and the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
In the previous edition of the survey, Lula appeared with 39% of voting intentions, while Flavio Bolsonaro maintained the same 33%. At the time, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) occupied third position with 5%, followed by Renan Santos (Missao) with 4%, Romeu Zema (Novo) with 3% and Augusto Cury with only 2%.
The margin of error of the survey is two percentage points plus or minus.
