Kristin. Leiria invests in generators and communications

Observador3 September 2026 at 22:32

The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Leiria are set to invest approximately 250,000 euros in acquiring generators. The objective is to ensure water supply and keep communications operational.

This investment comes as a response to the impacts caused by Storm Kristin, which hit the region last year. The existing infrastructure proved insufficient during that weather event.

With this measure, the SMAS of Leiria aim to strengthen the resilience of essential services in the face of future emergency situations.
