Boavista SAD's creditors rejected the recovery plan presented by the company, which means the club cannot escape liquidation. The creditors' decision was unfavorable to the plan that had been proposed.
In the 2025/26 season, which was a year after the relegation from the I Liga, Boavista SAD ended up being relegated to the second tier of AF Porto. The club finished the top division in 17th position, which was the second-to-last standing.
With just 14 points earned, Boavista was 28 points away from the safety zone, which reflects the large gap between the team and survival in the top division. This disastrous campaign culminated in the new relegation.
