Tourism from Portugal will bring sounds from different regions of the country to Rock in Rio Brasil, taking place between September 4th and 13th, at Cidade do Rock, in Rio de Janeiro. The project, named "Portugal Music Festivals Headliners," brings together sound recordings from the ocean, the wind, cities and churches, among other environments.
The recordings were organized into seven soundscapes, inspired by Portugal's tourist regions, and will be used by a DJ in performances that combine musical beats with the sounds captured in the country. All the material was also grouped into a playlist distributed on eight vinyl records, organized by themes such as nature, ocean, heritage, culture, gastronomy and diversity.
The Portuguese space at the festival will also feature 28 Portuguese wine labels for tasting, as well as games and other activities that present the characteristics of each region of the country to the audience. The area will operate from 2pm to 2am, during all seven days of the event's programming.
