New IP2 variant in Évora was a "commitment made" by a socialist government, says PS

The PS welcomed the opening of the Eastern Variant to Évora of IP2, considering it a crucial infrastructure for the region. In a statement, the District Federation of Évora of the PS congratulated itself on the opening of this variant.

The socialist party argued that this infrastructure was a commitment made by a PS government. According to the PS, the project was subsequently abandoned and totally paralyzed in 2011, during a PSD administration.

The variant represents a significant improvement for traffic in the Évora region, diverting heavy traffic from the urban area. The PS used the opening to highlight its political positions regarding investment priorities in infrastructure in the district.
