Estremoz: Exhibition on the Centenary of Estremoz's Elevation to City opens on Saturday

The exhibition entitled "Centenary of Estremoz's Elevation to City 1926 – 2026" will be inaugurated on Saturday at 4:00 PM at the Bernardim Ribeiro Theatre in Estremoz. The Estremoz municipal council released this information, highlighting that the exhibition celebrates the 100 years since the city was elevated to that status.

As part of the exhibition opening, the commemorative postal stamp from CTT related to this centenary will also be presented. This commemorative postal document thus joins the celebrations marking this anniversary.

Estremoz belongs to the district of Évora, in the Alentejo region. The elevation of the town to a city took place in 1926, which means that this year exactly 100 years are being commemorated since that historic date for the municipality.
