The party Iniciativa Liberal (IL) will vote against the motion of censure presented by Chega against the Government. This position comes in alignment with the party's strategy of not supporting motions of censure from parties to the right.
IL continues, however, to advocate for Luís Neves's dismissal, maintaining its position on the need to replace this government official. This autonomous position of the party distinguishes itself from Chega's strategy.
Chega's motion of censure is part of a context of opposition to the Executive, but IL understands that this is not the appropriate way to express its disagreement with the Government. The party thus remains a critical force but one that does not align with motions of censure presented by other right-wing parties.
