Judge Victor Agustin Jaccoud Diz Torres, from the 4th Business Court of the Capital District, authorized Vasco and the club's SAF to sign players before the transfer window closes and the release of the R$ 150 million loan requested from the Court. The decision allows the club to proceed with negotiations even before the funds are available.
The authorization establishes that signings should not generate an increase in debt or an addition of up to R$ 5.9 million to the liabilities, unless subsequently communicated to the Court. Negotiations that exceed this amount may also proceed, provided that the payment exceeding the limit is projected for the future.
As an example, the judge cites the possibility of loans with purchase obligations, a model already used by Vasco on other occasions. This modality allows the club to sign a player on loan with the obligation to purchase them later, spreading the financial impact over time.
In the decision, the magistrate reinforces that he does not intend to interfere with the choice of players to be signed. According to him, the concern is exclusively to avoid financial worsening in the short term, seeking a balance between sporting needs and the club's financial health.
