In the dispute for the Senate in MG, Aécio jumps from a patrimony of R$ 2.3 million in 2022 to R$ 22.5 million

oglobo3 September 2026 at 19:06

Candidate for the Senate Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) declared a patrimony of R$ 22.5 million to the Electoral Court this year, a value significantly higher than the R$ 2.3 million he had declared in 2022, when he ran for a seat as Federal Deputy. The data is available on the DivulgaCand portal.

The major change in Aécio's patrimony is mainly due to the receipt of an inheritance from his mother, who passed away in 2023. The inheritance represents approximately R$ 20 million of the total declared. Among the inherited assets are properties in Santa Catarina and Rio de Janeiro, valued at R$ 8.60 million, in addition to R$ 6.03 million in financial investments and applications.

Also part of the inheritance is a rural property valued at R$ 3.61 million. Compared to 2022, Aécio's financial investments increased from R$ 365.3 thousand to R$ 498 thousand, representing a smaller growth compared to the other assets received through inheritance.
