Lula and coordinator ofFlávio's campaign exchange accusations about ending the 6x1 schedule

The Proposal to Amend the Constitution (PEC) that establishes the end of the 6x1 work schedule was approved this Wednesday by the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) of the Senate, but was not taken to the floor of the House, where the government did not have the security to gather the 49 votes necessary for its approval.

The theme became a battlefield in the electoral dispute between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the PL candidate for governor of Rio de Janeiro, Flavio Bolsonaro. The outcome was seen with relief in Flavio's surroundings, who escaped having to take a direct position on an issue with strong popular appeal and that faces resistance from business sectors.

In recent days, Flavio has used Lula's proximity to Alexandre de Moraes, minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), to wear down the opponent in the dispute.

Lula, in turn, said that the PEC did not advance in Congress this week due to the actions of Flavio Bolsonaro's allies, citing the general coordinator of Flavio's campaign, Rogér, as responsible for blocking the proposal.
