Tottenham left Richarlison off the list of registered players for this season's Premier League, leaving the Brazilian striker's future undefined. The decision was made before the final deadline for transfers in the English league, and the club advised the player to look for a new team to continue his career. With this, Richarlison is ineligible to play in the English Championship until at least January 2027, when the Spurs may register new athletes.
The 29-year-old player was informed by Tottenham that he would not be included in the squad, as revealed by the newspaper The Athletic. Each season, the clubs participating in the Premier League must submit a list of a maximum of 25 players over 21 years old, with at least eight of them having been developed at the club itself.
Richarlison arrived at Tottenham from Everton in July 2022, in a deal that could reach 60 million pounds. The Brazilian international has less than one year of contract remaining with the English club, which could facilitate a possible transfer to another team still in this transfer window.
