The Algarve artist Breno Candeias Real, who works under the artistic name Bernhardt Aldihanat, is presenting five works from the "FERIDA" (Wound) collection at SWISSARTEXPO 2026, in Zurich, Switzerland. Currently based in that country, the artist is participating in this international contemporary art exhibition between September 2 and 6.
The five selected works are part of a project focused on the experience of the wound and the marks that remain after it. According to the artist, the "FERIDA" collection explores themes such as vulnerability, transformation and what remains after a wound, through abstract painting, texture and the use of different materials.
Breno Candeias Real considers the presence of the collection in this exhibition as a particularly important moment in his career as a Portuguese artist developing his work abroad. The participation in SWISSARTEXPO thus allows him to internationally present an aspect of Bernhardt Aldihanat's work based on abstract painting and experimentation with different materials and textures.
