The municipalities of Coimbra, Mealhada and Cantanhede intend to create an industrial, logistics and railway corridor along the Coimbra–Mealhada–Cantanhede axis. The project aims to transform this region into a corridor of significant dimension, taking advantage of the existing territorial and infrastructural potential between the three municipalities. This initiative represents a joint strategy for economic development and territorial enhancement for the central region of the country. The collaboration between the three municipalities seeks to boost industrial and logistics activity, also enhancing the existing railway connections in the area.
