The play "The Worst Professor in the World", by LAMA Teatro, returns to Lisbon on September 26th and 27th, with two performances at Boutique Cultura. The show addresses the importance of exercising the right to vote, based on the story of Carolina Beatriz Ângelo, the first woman to vote in Portugal.
The play centers on a professor described as "eccentric, boring, passionate, strict, and undisciplined", who gives a class about Carolina Beatriz Ângelo. Methodically organized, the professor is accompanied by a friend named Teresa and believes in assessment sheets, tests, and exams, considering cheat sheets as the best tool for academic success.
Based on an idea by João de Brito, who also signs the direction and performance, the show has text by Diana Costa e Silva, Hugo Van der Ding, and João de Brito. The play has already toured Portugal, Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, and Macau.
The costumes are by José António Tenente, while the lighting design, technical direction, and operation are the responsibility of Sincronia. The production is a collaboration between Lama Teatro, Cineteatro Louletano, and Centro Cultural de Lagos.
