Celeirós do Douro will host the XIV Traditional Lagarada on September 19th and 20th. The event is organized by the parish council of Celeirós do Douro, the Municipality of Sabrosa and the Douro XXI Association, bringing together hundreds of visitors around the celebration of the grape harvest and traditional lagaradas.
The highlight of the event will be the entry into the wine presses and the traditional grape treading, keeping alive a tradition that affirms the identity of Celeirós do Douro as the "Capital of Lagaradas".
The program also includes a performance by the Banda Sol Brilhante and an ethnographic procession that will feature the participation of the confraternities, animation groups and local population.
The event celebrates the gastronomy and cultural identity of the region, promising two days of activities that link ancestral traditions to the cultural dynamization of the territory.
