Margarida Campelo is a Portuguese singer and composer who is about to release her second album, titled "Música de Elevador" (Elevator Music). The artist is the daughter of singer Isabel Campelo and sound engineer Jorge Barata, having grown up in a musical environment that deeply marked her life.
During the interview on the BLITZ podcast, Margarida Campelo revealed that her mother's name was Leopoldina and that, since she was little, she would already sing the phrase "Welcome to the enchanted world...", arriving at school proud to affirm that it was she herself who sang that song.
In addition to her career as a singer and composer, Margarida Campelo studied and teaches jazz, demonstrating her versatility in the Portuguese music scene. The artist also participated in the Festival da Canção, one of the most important events in Portuguese music.
The album "Música de Elevador" will be presented in October at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, at a concert that promises to be a milestone in the artist's career.
